OOC: Oh my gollies, you guys are being way too sweet about my drawings, I am going to cry.
OOC: So you guys like how I draw the microbabbies hair, huh?

Aye! This is the best one! —I know I ought’ve asked you, since it’s yor ‘ouse an’ all, an’ you probably knew the best cushion, orready— this is it, right? Or have you got a more fav’rite one?
[He wiggled a little in the chair where he sat, to emphasise his point. Gosh, if he’d wanted to, they could have gone on a full-scale rating of cushions and why one was better than another, and why they might not agree— but such a thing is tedious, especially for a child. He decided by doing, and that was the most trustworthy test of all, so there!]
[… Which is exactly why he seems to ignore his own question, and carry on as if he’d never said it.]
—An’ it’s only proper, is all! I can slouch all I like once I get ‘ome!
[He was a little embarrassed that she had noticed, though— less because he was easily shy and more because Sofia is a kind and pretty lady— and reached for the treats in the most polite way he knew how, which was with both hands and a gentleness that bordered on humorous. It also meant he knew better than to drop crumbs, which he licked carefully from his fingertips, once the surprise of tasting something delicious had worn off (which takes him a solid ten seconds of grinning and stockinged-feet-swinging, by the way.)]
… Gosh, ‘ow do you make these? What’s in ‘em— they’re lovely, they are! I can’t bake worth nuffin’. Didn’t even 'ave an oven for the longest time! —Thank you, by the way, quite very much, marm!
Oh, well I am sure that everyone has different tastes in cushions. What I think is the best cushion in my home may not be the same as what you would think the best is out of the ones you tested, yes? It’s all a matter of opinion.
-Of course Sofiya would engage in a conversation about cushions. Letting her guest have the best cushion was quite important to her, after all. A visitor, especially one as sweet as Sealand, deserved to be as comfortable as she could possibly make them. Letting him test out all of the seats was something she was happy to do, and happier if he had a bit of fun while doing it.-
-She offered him a small smile, appreciating his continued politeness.-
Well, you do not have to worry so much about what is proper and what is not with me, you know. You’ve already shown fine manners, so I don’t mind if you slouch or sit however way you think is most comfortable.
-A small laugh left her as she noticed the way Peter insisted on picking up a treat for himself, and then reached for one as well. She took a few bites of the snack before she noticed the boy’s expression, which brought another grin to show itself on her features. He seemed to really love the taste, which was the biggest compliment a baker could receive.-
Well, there are quite a few things there. The tortes have poppy seeds with butter cream icing on them, and the turnovers are filled with fruit. Those rolls there have a cinnamon and nut filling which I make from scratch, just like I do the butter cream icing.
None of them are terribly hard to make, but I don’t think hearing the steps would be very interesting. If you’d like, I could write up the recipes and send them home with you. I’m sure you could manage to make them for yourself if you really wanted to; it doesn’t take a professional to bake these sorts of things.
But if you’d prefer, I would be happy to make more for you. I could send you a package full of these, and a few other things too.
You could consider that my Christmas present to you.
—You? Horrible company?
I may look young—I am fifty-three, by the way!—and we may not have known eachother long, but I assure you that there are much worse people to be around…not that you’re even worse company to begin with!
『 So much persistence for such a tiny face! Ukraine was a very pleasant lady and spending time with her, especially when she had two other siblings and a whole country to run and be, well, she’s secretly flattered. And she feels like she shouldn’t be idle, either. It always felt awkward to be sitting down while someone else did all the work, even if she was a princess. 』
…We’re both absolute joys, then. I won’t come in unless you accept it! And unless you let me help you bake. The culinary arts are also an expression of creativity, and I’m an artist, so it’s important.
And done. After this visit, you can visit me, and I’ll make you all the Mango Trout Antarctica you like.
-Sofiya could feel her cheeks warm slightly at the way the young girl seemed to press the matter. Wy thought she was fine company and that was all that mattered, wasn’t it? How sweet of her to think so, though! Not to mention it looked as if Riley’s words absolutely made the Ukrainian woman’s day.-
Thank you so much, sweetheart. You really are an absolute darling.
-She had the urge to kiss the girl on the forehead in thanks, but she was not sure if Wy would approve of the gesture or not. Ukraine used to give the same affection to her own siblings long ago, and sometimes even now, but who knew if the micronation was the sort to enjoy such things?.-
-Sofiya decided a few gentle pats on the head would suffice, so she settled for that, making sure not to muss the girl’s hair at all.-
I suppose that is reasonable enough to agree with, so why don’t you come inside now, hm? We have baking to do, don’t we?
-She waved an arm to urge the girl inside, enjoying the thought of having someone to help her with baking. As fun as it could be alone, it would be even more fun with someone as passionate about it as she was. And Riley seemed to be that someone.-
And I most certainly I look forward to when I will be able to visit you. I’m quite excited to try it.
//grins because he likes being called that—//
Just stoppin’ by! Don’t think I need anything.
—Unless y’got, I dunno, some cookies or something—
Cookies? Oh, I have much more than just cookies.
Muffins, tortes, turnovers… And those are only a few examples. I have been quite busy making treats all season, I will have you know. I always am around the holidays!
Would you like some? I would be more than happy to put together a basket full of goodies for you to take with you, dear!
S’been too long, I gotta ‘gree! *Laughs merrily and spins her once to accompany a big hug*
Weather’s been great hasn’t it?! Snow finally settlin’ in, s’really winter now! Love this time’v year.
-She lets out a small squeal when she feels her feet lifted off the ground, but it soon turns into a short fit of giggles as she returns the hug.-
Yes, yes! The weather has been quite lovely, I will agree! Certainly the kind of weather most people expect and want around this time of year, yes?
It feels more like the holiday season to me when the weather is like this, and I quite enjoy it.
So, how have you been? Has everything been going well?
It has been a while indeed, I am glad that you are back! I have been great, how about you? Any news?
I am happy to hear that!
And myself? Well, I’ve been just fine. Haven’t had as much free time lately, but I can’t say that I mind too much.
And what have you been up to, dear? Anything exciting?
Sure has Sofiya, it’s good to see ya~!
I’ve been well, pretty busy with the Christmas season but that’s nothing new.
How about you? How have you been? It’s been a while so throw it all at me!
I’ve heard the same from many others; seems everyone is hustling-and-bustling as much as one should expect, yes? Such a lively time of year this is.
Me? O-Oh goodness, I… I do not have much to say.
-She feels her cheeks heat up, fingertips being tapped together as she realizes that she doesn’t have much to talk about when it comes to herself, especially not lately. Oh, how boring she feels!-
It has really just been the usual for me, I must say. Rather busy with everything, and only more so with the holidays so near. I have been well, though, so I cannot complain.
Indeed it has been too long. And for that I apologize.
Hello to you as well, how have you been these days?
That is nothing to apologize for, Eduard. Do not be silly! -She gives him a playful smack against the chest with the back of her hand.-
I understand, do not worry. We all get busy, yes? All that matters is that you are visiting now, and I am happy for that.
And I have been fine enough, thank you for asking. I’ve been a bit busy as well, but I cannot say that it’s been unpleasant. I have a bit of a fondness for the hustle-and-bustle of the holiday season.
